Who we are.

  • OUR TEAM |
  • JOHN KEEPAX |
  • FRANK IRIAS
Led by John Keepax and Frank Irias, creative veterans in their own right, our creative team includes an impressive lineup of art directors, graphic designers, web designers and copywriters. We come from all over — England, Nicaragua, France, California and Texas. And we bring our wide view of the world to everything we create, whether it’s cutting-edge design, compelling copy or a knock-your-socks-off website.
John graduated with an advertising degree from the Kent Institute of Art and Design (in the UK) and freelanced as an art director for various London ad agencies. During this time, he developed an interest in animation and worked for London-based Tomcat Studios, where he rose to become assistant director and oversaw productions in both London and their various studios in Russia.

After a while, John decided to return to his first passion, advertising. He arrived in Miami, Florida, and began freelancing as a senior graphic designer for several local ad agencies while he learned the market and figured out his next move.

Wanting to learn all he could about printing techniques and print production, he spent several years working in the design departments of large commercial printers, working with such clients as the Miami Heat and Burger King.

From there, the rest is history. With solid design and advertising experience and a robust knowledge of printing, John knew it was time to venture out on his own. He established Keepax Design in 2001 and produced materials for Royal Caribbean International, Gulliver Schools and multiple local hotels.

After knowing Frank for five years and appreciating their synergy in both design and marketing, John and Frank teamed up to form Daisho Creative Strategies.

Frank’s story in South Florida is a typical one. Born in Nicaragua, he came to Florida when he was 13 years old. After high school, and after some strong encouragement from his art teacher, he attended International Fine Arts College, where he earned a commercial arts degree. He continued his education at American Intercontinental University, earning a visual communications degree.

From a very early age, Frank knew he wanted his own design business. He began his career learning everything he could about technology and printing, keenly aware that knowing how to print his designs was the key to producing the best marketing materials. Once he was satisfied with his level of print and production knowledge, he moved on to Miami-based ad agencies and large publication work.

In 1997, Frank returned to Nicaragua, where he managed and operated his own ad agency. Among a wide range of projects, he created the brand launch for Harley-Davidson, developed countless marketing materials for the Ministry of Tourism and managed the advertising for INISER, the fifth-largest insurance company in Central America.

In 2002, he returned to Miami as creative and marketing director for one of the largest offset printing shops in South Florida. There he helped increase sales back to their pre-9/11 days as well as conceived their communications and marketing strategy, which continues to be used today. Also while there, he met John Keepax.

In 2007, Frank and John established Daisho Creative Strategies.
